If you are looking for a Midtown Atlanta condominium, you will find prices from one end to the other! Not everyone can pay $300-600,000 for a place to live. But you want a nice, convenient place to live you can afford! Enter Cornerstone Village Midtown Atlanta.
Rich with history dating back to the 1920’s, Cornerstone Village is made up of 4 different buildings, occupying an entire city block! The community was created between 1999 and 2001.
Historic Manor House
The historic Manor House, at the corner of 6th and Peachtree was designed by famed architect Neil Reid in 1923. The former Peachtree Manor Hotel later became apartments before its glorious restoration/conversion to 40 one bedroom condos. This building contains the fitness center, a laundry room, and movie theatre. The HOA recently decided to open up the office space for use as a club room….which is a great addition to the amenities of the community. Couple the use of this space with the movie theater and you have the makings for a great place to host your friends for a movie night or sporting event!
The Landmark Building
The Landmark Building, for which the address of 800 Peachtree Street covers ALL of Cornerstone Village Midtown Atlanta, was built in the late 1940’s. This building was gutted and converted into 115 one and two bedroom loft-styled homes. Most of these have some exposed brick as well as duct work, commonly found in a loft. The street level of the building has 17,000 sq. ft. of retail space which includes Escorpion Mexican eatery with an awesome outdoor dining area overlooking Peachtree Street and Einstein Bros Bagels…perfect for breakfast and lunch. Also in May, 2016, it was announced that Experimac would open in Cornerstone Village! This concept is a source for Apple product repairs and upgrades….pre-owned sales and trade-ins for iPhone devices, iPad tablets, iMac computers and MacBook laptops!
The 100/200 Gallery Buildings
The 100/200 Buildings of Cornerstone Village, also called the Gallery, were newly constructed in 1999-2001. These homes have a “soft loft” feel with high ceilings, exposed duct work and a more contemporary feel. These two buildings surround the community’s resort-style pool and grilling gazebo. Select floor plans have french doors that open to juliette balconies and there are also large one bedroom/den floor plans along with one and two bedrooms.
