Midtown Social Club Returns To Midtown Atlanta!

January 31, 2012 by Thom Abbott

It seems like it HAS been a long time since the Midtown Social Club held and event. This group was first formed by residents of several Midtown Atlanta condo buildings. It quickly took off, and the club was in demand, if you will, buy Midtown restaurants to host this event.

I’m certainly looking forward to the event and hope to see you there as well!

The Nook on Piedmont ParkYou now what they say…you cant keep a good hoedown….well never mind that! But some good seafood boil…now we are talking!

TOMORROW….join your friends and neighbors at The Nook on Piedmont Park for their 3rd Annual Seafood Boil and Hoedown! Things get under way at 12noon and go till 8pm…or the food is gone! (of course there will be an afterparty to keep you going!)

With beer and drink specials, what more can you ask for!

Parking can be a challenge at The Nook, but there is parking available in the parking garage at 13th and Juniper, just a short 2 block walk. Now, drink and drive responsibily, and if you think you might have to much fun, please have a designated driver, or take MARTA, a cab, or hey, if you live in Midtown Atlanta, you can just foot power it on over!

Stepping Up To Business – March 16, 2011

January 13, 2012 by Thom Abbott

Stepping Up to Business – February 29, 2012

GA Tech housingWhile my primary purpose in life these days is to help bring Buyers and Sellers of real estate together, I find I also kind of have a roll as an information source. Information about my neighborhood, Midtown Atlanta, as well as information that you, the reader might also find interesting, or useful.

Case in point. These are some trying times. And many say that our recovery hinges on the small businesses of our country being able to be profitable, and to hire employees. We all know what that means, from real estate to retail. The economy will start to move…and in the right direction. But, small business owners often lack the resources, be they from training to money to make things happen.

Along comes my friend and business associate, Charles Green and the Small Business Finance Institute. And more importantly, their Stepping Up to Business event to help educate entrepreneurs on ways to finance their small business.  This one-day education opportunity will be held on February 29, 2012 at the Loudermilk Center. An exciting opportunity to learn how to finance your small business.

A great learning opportunity with some people who know about it! Be sure to check it out.
