History & Architecture
-
The original building dates to 1911, designed by Leila Ross Wilburn — Georgia’s first licensed female architect — in the Craftsman style. It was initially known as the “Piedmont Park Apartments.”
-
In 2000, a renovation preserved the architectural integrity of the original while adding two new buildings in a complementary style. All three share common spaces and connect through a courtyard overlooking the park.

Because of its historic significance, the original building (Piedmont Park Apartments / Wilburn House) is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
