Peachtree Lofts
The Peachtree Lofts building was originally designed and build in 1952 and was occupied by the Department of Agriculture. It was vacated in 1978 and languished until 1995, when it was redeveloped into what is now Peachtree Lofts.
An interesting piece of history to note about this building….it was the second tallest building outside of Atlanta at the time it was built in 1952! And now just look what is around it.
Peachtree Lofts has undergone a massive renovation that brought the building and community from lack luster to simply outstanding. The before and after loby photos certainly confirm this! The exterior of the building was refurbished and included all new windows in every home!
The units in Peachtree Lofts are the closest a buyer will get to a loft feel in Midtown Atlanta. Since most buildings in the area are new construction, it is hard to find a loft feel. Peachtree Lofts give you that feel. At the time they were developed, granite and stainless steel appliances were not the design fashion, so many of the homes still have laminate counters and rather simple white cabinets. But upgrading these homes, whether buying one already done, or adding your own personal touches, can make them amazing homes, in the heart of Midtown Atlanta.
